COVID-19 UPDATE
The current situation regarding coronavirus has meant that I have revised some of my work procedures and risk assessments to comply with government guidelines to help prevent the spread of the virus and maintain a safe environment for my customers.
As well as checking daily updates to government guidelines, I have completed the World Health Organisation's online training course in Infection Prevention and Control for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a PP3 mask, disposable gloves, over-gloves, and sanitizer is used as standard practice. This now includes disinfecting my equipment and plastic-backed sheets after every customer. Fresh dust sheets are used in each house and washed daily.
To prepare for my visit, please do the following (where possible):
Open windows and doors in the room where I will be working at least one hour before my arrival to ensure the room is well ventilated, and leave open for at least one hour after my departure.
Remove any objects from around the fireplace (ornaments, fire side tools, fuels, etc.).
Allow a clear passage from the door to the fireplace, removing coffee tables or other furniture where necessary.
Ensure a plug socket is available as close to the fireplace as possible (use an extension lead if needed).
Normally, I enjoy the interaction I have with my customers, but for the moment, please vacate the room whilst I work to respect social distancing.
IMPORTANT: If you or any member of your household is showing symptoms of COVID-19, or is self-isolating as they are in a vulnerable group, please do not make a booking until it is safe to do so. If symptoms appear after a booking has been made, you must notify me immediately. Equally, if I develop symptoms, I will contact you to postpone the booking.
If you have any questions, please contact me and I'll be happy to help.
